1. Organization – Assess the human resources and internal political situation
2. Listening – Establish an ongoing listening program
3. Goals – Define objectives according to business goals
4. Audience – Understand the people you’re trying to reach
5. Strategy – Document the plan for reaching goals and for being a more social organization
6. Tactics /Tools – Commit to social media channels and tools
7. Measurement – Define measurement tools, metrics & reporting
